From Marshall's house, Gumball called his castle using the phone, informing Peppermint Maid that he'd be staying at Marshall's house tonight. Gumball promised himself that he'd tell Marshall the truth tonight, before Marshall took things any further.

Gumball went back into the living room where Marshall sat. It was odd, Marshall Lee never sat on the couch, he always floated over it, But this time he sat only to be beside Gumball. Gumball couldn't help it, he enjoyed it a little. He liked the idea of Marshall doing little things for him, but only if it were truly out of Marshall's heart. Gumball decided to make another attempt at telling Marshall. "Marshall..?" he quietly said. Marshall responded with a "Hmm?" and at that moment, their eyes met. They were frozen in that moment, couldn't look away. Both of them found the other's eyes so beautfil;stunning.

Marshall got up from the couch and floated over to the Prince, then landed. Their bodies so close that the tips of their shoes touched. Marshall intertwined one of his hands with one of Gumball's. The Prince tried not to look up, but The Vampire King tilted Gumball's chin up and kissed him. Something in Marshall's kisses made his body electric, It set him free, But he remembered everything as soon as their lips parted. Marshall smiled and Kissed the Prince again, then again, again, and again. "Now, what were you gonna say, Gummy?" asked Marshall.

Gumball still just couldn't get the words out.. Marshall had already done so much..would he be mad? He swallowed and asked, "M-Marsh..? What is this all about? you're being so affectionate..." Marshall chuckled, pecked the Prince on the forehead and responded "I've never really realized it until today, but I think I'm in love with you." Gumball had bittersweet feelings toward the words that escaped Marshall's lips. He knew once again that he would hate himself for this, but Gumball answered "I love you too, Marshall Lee." They both burst into tears of joy and hugged, kissed, and cuddled on the couch together.

       their bodies intertwined as they watched scary horror movies. Movies that Marshall enjoyed, but frightened the Prince to death, made him uncomfortable. Whenever an extremely gory scene, or just a too intense scene came on, Gumball hid his face in Marshall's chest, While Marshall would just be entertained by the movie and shoveling popcorn in his mouth. The vampire didn't really like popcorn, but since it was a movie night, and Gumball was there eating it with him, He made an exception. Obviously this was the reason why Marshall chose scary movies for them to watch, He loved being the 'dominant' type. He loved to make the Prince feel safe with him.

       After the movie was done, They turned off all the lights and soon fell asleep together on the couch, sharing each other's body heat. Gumball knew he'd be mad at himself in the morning, but at the moment he just did not give a lump.
