Stale Candy CH.2

Gumball protested, struggled, but couldn't break free. what good would it even do him? they were high enough in the air that he'd hurt himself if he fell from that height. "Ice Queen where are you taking me?!" He practically had to shout over the wind's strength. The Queen of Ice cackled and said "Somewhere where that ratchet Blonde won't find us happily together!" Gumball was apalled,"You're wrong because I will NEVER be happily with you!You can force me to do anything but you will never force me to like it." The Prince's words made the Ice Queen laugh again, "You see, now you're the one who's wrong! you see that candy house way off in the distance down there?" she pointed to a candy house far away that they were approaching, and continued her boast, "I have casted a spell on that house, and whichever two people enter it together, they magically fall in love permanently and forever! I have finally found a way to make you willingly mine! only minutes away now!!!" she then resumed to her evil cackling.

Gumball shivered, "No! I am never going to love you! I will NOT!" he shouted, struggling once again. At this point the Prince did not care if he fell to the ground and injured himself, he had to get away! He continued his struggling, he even did the most un-Princely thing he could think of-He bit the Ice Queen arm that was holding him. She shrieked in pain, but only tightened her grip. Suddenly, "Hey, Dumb-Butt!!!" a voice was heard from behind them, and whoever this was, threw a rock at the Queen's head. The Ice Queen turned around with rage in her eyes. "Who dares disrupt my time with my future hubby Gumball?!" she turned and her eyes met the eyes of Marshall Lee The Vampire King. Marshall smirked, "Let him go Ice Queen, He's not going to marry a crusty, frost bitten hag like yourself." The Ice Queen cackled, then began telling Marshall her plan, "Ya' see, He WILL want to marry me, because I've got-" her sentence was cut off when Marshall threw another rock at her head, this time knocking her crown off, disabeling her powers. She released the Prince, both of them falling now. Marshall flew down and caught only Gumball holding him in a bridal style, and they both laughed as they watched the Queen fall to the ground.

"We gotta get outta here before she finds her crown and comes back," Marshall said before flying off fastly. Gumball blushed, "Marshall?" he quietly said. Marshall responded with a "Hmm?" The pink sweet Prince stuttered "Th-Thank you.. for saving me..." Marshall chuckled and smiled "No problem, buddy. Hey, I think we should hide somewhere for a while, right?" the beautiful Vampire suggested. Gumball's face turned a bit redder and he replied, "Yeah, I guess so, but I don't think she'll give up so easily" Marshall assured the Prince that he'd take care of that. "How about we hide in that house over there? It looks like it's empty," Marshall said, pointing at a close house, But Gumball recognized this house. It was the same house that the Ice Queen had pointed at and ranted about. The house that had been cursed by the love spell. Gumball gasped, because they were practically already on the porch of the house "Wait, no Marshall! We can't!" Gumball tried to explain to the vampire that the house is cursed, but Marshall cut him off by shushing him and whispering"Shh... Gumball we have to be quite, or else she'll hear us." and Marshall gently pushed Gumball into the house and followed behind him. It was too late.

The house was silent, very old and rickety, and smelled like stale candy,well, it pretty much was a piece of stale candy, because of it's age. It must've been one of the very few first houses made in The Candy Kingdom. Gumball's heart raced. He felt so guilty for not explaining quick enough. Now the two would most likely magically fall in love, become head over heels forever. Not be able to live without each other. But the fact that it didn't happen naturally, which meant it wouldn't be true love is what made the Prince feel so terrible and angry.Of course, The Prince already had romantic feelings toward the Vampire before all this, but he knew Marshall's feelings would only be the effects of the house. Gumball figured he must tell Marshall as soon as possible about the spell. "Marshall," he started "There's something really important I need to tell you. This house, it's-" Gumball was cut off by Marshall tackling him to the ground. "Stay down! I think I saw her out the window! I'll go take care of it just stay here." Marshall said before immediately getting up and dashing out the door.

Gumball sat up but remained there on the floor, rubbing his neck and back from the impact of Marshall tackling him onto the hard candy floor. He thought about having a sleepover in this house with Marshall some time, but he then shook it from his thoughts because he remembered it was probably just the spell. Gumball had become so frustrated.

Marshall Lee opened the door once again, panting. He smiled, "That psychopath is gone..you're safe..for now." said Marshall in between pants. Gumball stood up and walked over to the Vampire, a little curious to find out if the spell had already affected Marshall too. It must have, because when Gumball held out his hand, offering a handshake with Marshall, to thank him for everything, Marshall completely shot down the idea and pulled the Prince into a tight hug. Stroking Gumball's hair, Marshall was already being very affectionate. "I'm so glad you're safe, I cannot imagine how awful it would be if she actually got you..." Marshall said, still holding the Prince tightly, not planning on letting go any time soon "You know what, I don't trust her...She'll probably come back..It's getting late.I want to you stay at my house tonight...will you?" He practically demanded the Prince. Gumball knew he was going to hate himself for making this decision, but he felt the spell forcing him to say exactly what his heart said "Yes Marsh, I will..."
